What Sets Q CELLS PV Panels Apart?
The latest generation Q CELLS solar panels include Q.ANTUM cell technology which allows more light to be captured, in-turn generating more power and more cost savings.
Unlike standard crystalline solar cells, the rear surfaces of the cells used in Q CELLS Q.ANTUM panels include a specialised nano coating. This coating has reflective properties which redirects valuable sunlight which would otherwise be wasted back through the cell to maximise electricity generation and increase the efficiency of the PV panels.
Q CELLS unique DUO design also offers a few additional benefits.
12-Busbar Technology
Each cell includes significantly more busbars which are located closer together. The additional busbars allow cells to produce 2% more power.
Half-Cell Technology
Each cell is split into two half-cells, minimising electric current travel distance to increase power output by 3% while also reducing resistive losses to one-quarter of what you’d expect from a full cell.
Wire Interconnection
Utilising smaller round wires rather than traditional flat wires with a wider width reduces shading by 75%, increasing power generation by 2.5%.

Q.ANTUM technology
Offers higher power classes and an efficiency rate up to 20.2%, as well as generating a higher yield compared to standard solar modules. The result is a lower cost of electricity and lower system operation costs.
DUO cell system
Both models adopt signature DUO cell technology to increase power output, with impressive long-term warranty terms which ensure you’ll still have 85% power after 25-years (refer to product data sheets for more information).
Efficient, even in low light
Unique technology ensures you will still achieve optimal yields with low radiation intensity in all seasons and weather conditions any time of day, including with significant cloud cover.
Weather resistant
Both products include a durable aluminium alloy frame and have undergone extensive testing under a range of extreme weather conditions, including high humidity, dry heat and intense cold. They have also undergone wind load strength testing to ensure they can withstand even the most powerful cyclones which are possible in many Australian locations.
Durability
Includes Anti-LID technology to prevent panels from premature deterioration due to sun exposure. This greatly increases system performance and the viable lifetime of the panels. Also includes Anti PID Technology1, Hot-Spot Protect and Traceable Quality Tra.Q™.

What’s the Difference Between the Q.MAXX and Q.PEAK DUO-G5+?
While there are a range of similarities between both models, there are a couple of key differences:
Nominal power
The Q.MAXX offers nominal power from 320-335 Wp, while the Q.PEAK DUO-G5+ offers an additional 350-360 power class option.
Customised for Australian conditions
Includes Anti-LID technology to prevent panels from premature deterioration due to sun exposure. This greatly increases system performance and the viable lifetime of the panels. Also includes Anti PID Technology1, Hot-Spot Protect and Traceable Quality Tra.Q™.
Warranty
Q.MAXX panels come with an inclusive 12-year product warranty. The inclusive product warranty increases to 25-years with the Q.PEAK DUO-G5+. Both models include a 25-year linear performance warranty (refer to product data sheets for more information).
